While access to adequate educational resources in the Four Schools Project serves all of Kobulubulu’s children, KUSP has targeted educational equity for the girl-child as a primary goal. This educational equity is one that Uganda names as a critical need in schools throughout the country. We are developing three additional programs to address the special needs of the girl-child.
Girls throughout the developing world face challenges to pursuing their education due to such issues as early marriage, lack of feminine hygiene products, responsibility for younger siblings and families' reluctance to use scarce financial resources for girl-children's school fees.
KUSP seeks to prevent girls from cutting short their educational goals by offering them enhanced educational opportunities and sustainable programs such as the following:
