We FORGOT to publish this! But wanted you to have the info if you didn’t get our end of year letter last December. Read on. Please remember krma-USPartners this year! We depend on your generous donations to continue our work with KRMA and the community of Kobulubulu, Uganda. http://www.krma-uspartners.org/donate/

KRMA’s achieved the following with the financial support of USPartners:

·      Another successful harvest, with revenues reflecting the addition of new women to the Cassava Project;

·      Completion of training of the four oxen to use in plowing new fields;

·       Payment of school fees for almost 100 children and a reduced drop-out rate;

·      100% participation by KRMA members at our two-day training offered by US Partners’ Vice-President Christine Poulon on “budgeting for profit;”

·      Increasing the number of women participating in two savings collectives from 22 to 61, with KRMA offering space and record keeping expertise for new savers

And here are highlights of krma-USPartners’ accomplishments:

·      Awarding of a third scholarship to a daughter of KRMA

·      Sending two KRMA daughters, the only ones attending from the entire District of Kaberamaido, to a Uganda PEER Mentoring Leadership Event to learn how to mentor younger girls back at home in Kobulubulu to stay in school and recognize life choices;

·    Beginning an assessment of the needs of three local Kobulubulu schools (two Primary and one Secondary) which are desperately under-resourced, as they share their dreams and describe needs for very basic resources such as food, water access, solar panels for light sources for the teachers, dictionaries, maps, and science equipment.

·      Expanding our community connections by entering into a Collaborative Agreement with Day Break Rotary of Kampala and Silver Spring-Kensington Rotary of Maryland. (more on this early in 2019)
